Job summary

First Coast Security seeks an Unarmed Security Officer to monitor entrances, perform patrols, assist visitors, and respond to safety concerns on site. You will help maintain a secure environment by staying alert, following post orders, and documenting activity during your shift.

We value reliability and customer service, with on-site duties, a professional appearance, and the ability to communicate clearly with staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Proficient English language communication, reading, and writing skills.
• Must be able to obtain an Unarmed Professional Security License as required by state.
• Must be able to obtain a First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Must be able to pass a drug screening, driving record check and background check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patrols and monitor all access points, interior and exterior.
• Stand guard at assigned posts to maintain visibility and ensure site security.
• Observe and report hazards or suspicious activity and complete daily logs and incident reports.
• Respond quickly to emergencies or threats.
• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Conduct patrols and monitor all access points, interior and exterior
• Stand guard at assigned posts to maintain visibility and ensure site security
• Observe and report hazards or suspicious activity and complete daily logs and incident reports
• Responding quickly to emergencies or threats
• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to obtain an Unarmed Professional Security License as required by state
• Must be able to obtain a First Aid/CPR/AED certification
• Must be able to pass a drug screening, driving record check and background check
• Must be able to obtain a TWIC BadgeU.S. citizenship required to meet contract and security clearance standards
• Must be over 21 years old
• Proficient English language communication, reading, and writingskills
• Able to meet all physical demands, including occasional lifting (up to 40 lbs.), and performing tasks such as bending, climbing, running, walking, and standing for long periods of time as needed
• Previous security, customer service, military, or law enforcement experience is helpful but not required
