Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time access control patrol driver position in Sugar Land, TX. You will monitor and protect facilities, perform regular patrols, manage access control procedures, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

This role requires a valid driver's license, at least 6 months of security experience, and the ability to work a 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen are required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by following site policies and emergency procedures at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access control points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain entry/exit records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and notify site contacts and emergency services as directed.
• Complete accurate activity reports and handoff communications to deter unauthorized access and policy violations.

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Patrol Driver in Sugar Land, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. This driving post requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. Deliver exceptional customer service and communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, innovative team that acts with integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $14.71 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required entry and departure records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services when directed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications while helping to deter unauthorized access and policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
