Job summary

Allied Universal in Ventura, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Access Control Patrol at a logistics and distribution location. You will provide customer service to personnel, drivers, visitors, and vendors, monitor access points, and conduct patrols.

This role requires a valid driver's license and a high school diploma or equivalent. You will be required to follow site procedures, document incidents, and respond to alarms with calm professionalism.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: a valid driver’s license.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, visitors, and/or vendors at a logistics and distribution location while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian access, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, truck, and incident records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged property, access control concerns, and policy violations to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian access, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, truck, and incident records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged property, access control concerns, and policy violations to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
