Allied Universal in Ventura, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver to protect government locations and facilities. You will conduct armed patrols, deter incidents, and respond calmly to security concerns while delivering excellent customer service.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, at least two years of security experience, ability to lift up to 20 pounds, and the willingness to complete background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and the public while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and procedures.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor activity, incidents, and patrol observations.
• Maintain professional communication with site personnel and Allied Universal supervision regarding security-related concerns and response needs.

As an Armed Security Professional supporting a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working as part of a reliable, agile team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $24.53 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 07:00 AM - 06:30 PM
• Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor activity, incidents, and patrol observations.
• Maintain professional communication with site personnel, public agencies, and Allied Universal supervision regarding security-related concerns and response needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
