Job summary

Allied Universal in Saint Joe, IN, is seeking a Security Officer Access Control Patrol to monitor industrial locations, support access control, and deter incidents. The role emphasizes professional interaction with employees and visitors while maintaining a visible security presence.

This full-time, unarmed position offers daytime schedules and a pay rate of $16.00 per hour. Applicants will undergo background checks and a drug screen in compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and drivers by following site procedures and access-control practices.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production-area perimeters, parking areas, access points, and other locations to identify unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle records per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies; notify appropriate contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and convey observations and facility concerns to supervision and client representatives.

As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol in Saint Joe, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will support access control activities, assist employees and visitors with professionalism, and communicate clearly while reporting security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production-area perimeters, parking areas, access points, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and facility concerns to Allied Universal supervision and designated client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
