Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Access Control Patrol in Jackson, MI. You will monitor and safeguard client sites, perform unarmed patrols at a manufacturing and industrial location, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding access control procedures.

This full-time role offers an hourly pay of $21.00 and a schedule Sunday through Saturday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with a consistent shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer/tablet preferred.
• Background check and drug screening required by employment.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, contractors, visitors, and deliveries.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and completed security-related activities through required reports and logs.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter, noting and reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, contractors, vendors, visitors, and deliveries in accordance with site‑specific requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and completed security‑related activities through required reports and logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
