Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for Full Time Access Exception Management in Manassas, VA. You will manage badge access, greet visitors, monitor entry points, and help maintain a secure, welcoming environment at a technology-focused site.

The role includes patrols, incident response, and clear documentation to support daily operations. A high school diploma is required; CPR/First Aid and licensing may be preferred depending on assignment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by policy.
• Licensing requirements may apply; driver’s license for driving roles only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and assist with badge issuance and retrieval.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate concerns promptly.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, lobby areas, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to deter unauthorized access.
• Support a professional environment by directing visitors and completing accurate daily activity and incident reports.

Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, lobby areas, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Support a professional, orderly environment by directing visitors, enforcing site access requirements, and completing accurate daily activity and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
