This full-time role offers a daytime schedule from Mon to Fri with a pay rate of $17.68/hr. Qualifications include being 18+, HS diploma, background check, drug screen; licensing may be required.

As a Security Officer Access Control Operations in Decatur, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming, secure environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and help to deter unauthorized access. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-control policies at a food and beverage manufacturing location.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized individuals in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and exterior grounds to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, access-control events, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
