Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Access Control Operations at a busy logistics and distribution site in Cordova, TN. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations.

The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, background check, drug screen where permitted, and a valid driver's license for driving positions. The position is full-time with daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation will be conducted as per federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Monitor and control access points for personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers at the site.
• Verify credentials, maintain logs, communicate access requirements, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access areas, trailer yards, loading zones, and the perimeter.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control Operations in Cordova, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.

Pay Rate: $17.39 / Hour

• Wed 11:00 AM - 09:00 PM
• Thur 11:00 AM - 09:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access points for personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers entering and leaving the logistics and distribution location.
• Verify credentials, maintain visitor and driver logs, communicate access requirements, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access areas, trailer yards, loading zones, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
