Job summary

PAYCO The Clearing House Payments Company L.L.C. seeks a Security Officer for our New York office in Lower Manhattan. You will monitor access, screen visitors, and assist in emergencies to protect employees and assets.

The role requires observing and reporting suspicious activity, responding to alarms, and maintaining professional appearance and customer service while supporting a rotating shift schedule. Training and certifications may be pursued after hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic security training; may require certifications (life safety, AED, CPR, Fire Watch).
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Maintain physical ability to perform duties during emergencies (evacuations, drills).
• Ability to work during inclement weather events.

Responsibilities

• Patrols and monitors premises to prevent threats to assets, life safety, and compliance with policies.
• Controls access to facilities by validating visitor enrollments and identities, while providing high customer service.
• Responds to alarms and assists with investigating security events.
• Perform tasks during emergency events and complete guard tours.
• Maintain attendance, professional appearance, and situational awareness; adjust schedule as needed.
