Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Access Control Driver in Lima, OH. You will provide security, monitor access points, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

In this role, you will perform patrols, respond to incidents, verify credentials, and support site operations while delivering excellent customer service. The position offers flexible evening hours and opportunities for shift-based work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required per policy.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 20+ pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles (21+ for armed).
• Background check and drug screen required by employment policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; document entries and incidents.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and leadership while supporting security operations.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and document entries, incidents, and observations in accordance with site requirements.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership while supporting security-related operations in a controlled aerospace and defense environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
