Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - General Duty in Augusta, GA. You will serve and safeguard clients across industries, manage access, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and support a welcoming environment.

This full-time position pays $14.50 per hour with a consistent evening shift schedule (3:00 PM–11:00 PM on listed days). You will patrol, report incidents, and uphold site policies while delivering customer service to employees and visitors.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the manufacturing location, following established procedures for deliveries, contractors, and restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
