Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer - General Duty in Augusta, GA. You will safeguard clients across manufacturing and industrial sites, manage access, verify credentials, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment. Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $14.50 per hour. Schedule includes evenings Monday through Sunday.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles or 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check in accordance with law.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors and delivery personnel while enforcing access control procedures.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, issue visitor passes and log access events.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access per policies, including deliveries and restricted areas.
• Respond calmly to incidents, report to site contacts or leadership promptly.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points, parking areas and perimeter.

As a Security Officer - General Duty in Augusta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will manage visitor and employee access, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and support a welcoming environment. You will help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence, clear communication, and prompt reporting. • Mon: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the manufacturing location, following established procedures for deliveries, contractors, and restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
