Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Part-Time Security Officer Access Control Credential Auditor in Jersey City, NJ. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain access logs to keep healthcare locations safe and welcoming.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized-entry concerns, incidents, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned healthcare areas and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership and report incidents and maintenance concerns.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization and credentials, issue visitor passes as applicable, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized-entry concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned healthcare areas and the perimeter to identify access-related concerns and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership while reporting incidents, policy violations, and maintenance concerns through established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
