Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control Coordinator in MEMPHIS, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a fast‑paced logistics and distribution location. You will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, and provide professional customer service and communication. Help support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations while demonstrating our agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team‑oriented, and integrity‑driven values.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, vendors, and authorized visitors entering and exiting the logistics and distribution location.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records; issue and recover access credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; promptly notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
