• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor and vendor logs, and communicate access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, gates, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and access-control exceptions in clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Access Control Coordinator in Boca Raton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help manage entry points, verify visitor and resident access, monitor assigned areas, and provide welcoming customer service. What You'll Do:
