Qualifications

• Requires valid NYS Security Guard License.
• High School Diploma or GED (proof of education) required.
• Prior security experience preferred.
• Experience with access control systems preferred.
• Ability to learn and operate security technology and computer systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with Slack or similar messaging platforms.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Able to stay calm in stressful situations.
• Reliable transportation to assigned location.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the facility.
• Use C-Cure access control systems to open doors, manage badge access, and create badges.
• Use D-Boss/Site Pass to read, understand, and process tickets authorizing access to the site.
• Use the BioConnect system to update and add fingerprints to badges for biometric readers.
• Monitor CCTV systems and remain vigilant for unusual or suspicious activity.
• Ensure all visitors are properly checked in and authorized before granting access.
• Use an intercom system to communicate with visitors requiring access.
• Communicate effectively with the operations team via radio.
• Enforce site security policies, procedures, and access control protocols.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies as needed.
• Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports.
• Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors.
• Collaborate with fellow officers, management, and client personnel.
• Utilize Slack for workplace communication.
• Utilize Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook for daily tasks.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and professional environment.
