Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Access Control Authentication in Plant City, FL. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, control visitor and employee access, and document activity to keep a secure environment.

You will deliver exceptional customer service and adhere to safety and policy guidelines. The role requires a minimum of one year in security, a high school diploma, and compliance with background checks and drug screening.

As a Security Officer Access Control Authentication in Plant City, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, controlling visitor and employee access, and documenting activity. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sat: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records.
• Control access to restricted areas, communicate access concerns to site leadership, and help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
