Job summary

Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Access Control in Newberry, SC. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and respond to security-related concerns while delivering outstanding customer service.

This full-time role pays $18.00 per hour with day shifts. You will conduct patrols, maintain access records, issue badges, and escalate incidents per site procedures.

Qualifications

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage manufacturing location.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, contractor check-in requirements, and delivery documentation before permitting entry in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and access records; issue and collect temporary badges and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, exterior areas, production-adjacent locations, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

As a Security Officer Access Control in Newberry, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and respond to security-related concerns.
