Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Access Verification in Ontario, CA. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries.

This full-time role requires a valid driver's license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and successful background screening. Pay is $20.00 per hour, with a night-shift schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service and perform access-control procedures and emergency response.
• Monitor access at entry points, verify credentials, log entries, and direct authorized personnel/vehicles.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly; notify site contacts or responders.
• Maintain logs and records for visitors, keys/badges, and incidents.
• Conduct patrols of access points and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access at designated entry points for a retail distribution location, verifying credentials, documenting arrivals and departures, and directing authorized personnel and vehicles as appropriate.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarm activations, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Maintain accurate logs, visitor records, key or badge issuance records, and incident reports in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.

This driving position requires a valid driver's license in the job state and compliance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
