Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security experience preferred.
• Valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Fireguard S95 Certification or willingness to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsabilités

• Monitor premises through patrols to ensure safety and security.
• Control access by verifying IDs and directing visitors as needed.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized activity and maintain order.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents and alarms; contact emergency services when needed.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior or safety hazards and breaches.
• Operate surveillance systems including cameras and fire alarm panels.
• Assist, inform and direct visitors and staff professionally.
• Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs.

Johnson Security Bureau, Inc. is seeking to add dedicated Security Officers to our team. Johnson Security Bureau, Inc. has been providing professional security, transport, patrol and protective services for over sixty years.

Position: Security Officer

Location: Queens, NY

Work Type: Full-Time & Part-Time Employment Opportunity Available

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

Experience: 2 years security experience

Shifts Available:

• Morning – Times will vary
• Afternoon – Times will vary
• Overnight – Times will vary

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor premises through regular patrols to ensure safety and security
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification and directing visitors if needed
• Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized activity and ensure order
• Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, and alarms, contacting emergency services when necessary
• Observe and report suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or security breaches
• Operate and monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras and fire alarm panels
• Provide assistance, information, and directions to visitors and staff in a professional manner
• Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and documentation as required
• Collaborate with team members and follow established security procedures and protocols

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of security experience preferred
• Valid New York State State Security Guard License
• Fireguard S95 Certification or willingness to obtain
• CPR and First Aid certification
• High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
• Basic proficiency with smartphones, tablets, and security systems
• Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends, evenings, and overnight shifts
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to pass an extensive background check and drug screening
