Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Access Control in Catawba, SC. In this role you will manage entry points, verify credentials, support badge access, and provide outstanding customer service at a manufacturing and industrial location.

The position is full-time with a pay rate of $15.00 per hour and a rotating overnight schedule Mon, Sat, Sun from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by Allied Universal.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at a manufacturing/industrial site by following access control procedures.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials, issue visitor passes, maintain records.
• Screen vehicles, deliveries, and contractors per site procedures and direct traffic.
• Respond to access-related incidents calmly and escalate when needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, perimeters, and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity.

Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will manage entry points, verify credentials, support badge access, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving post includes operating a company vehicle in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally, and help to deter security-related incidents while demonstrating agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Screen incoming and outgoing vehicles, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with site procedures and direct authorized traffic to designated areas.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and other designated locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
