Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control in BORGER, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors. You will help maintain a secure environment through clear communication, accurate documentation, and a visible presence. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical industrial location.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, authorizations, and visitor documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Control entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and deliveries; maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and access-related logs.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
