Job summary

Allied Universal in Battle Creek, MI seeks a part-time Security Officer Access Control to protect client sites across manufacturing and industrial locations. You will monitor entry points, verify visitor authorization, perform patrols, and respond to incidents following site procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures and site policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations calmly, following site procedures and reporting observations to management.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, offices, parking areas and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain logs of entries, exits and incidents.
• Report hazards, damaged access controls and policy violations to site management or Allied Universal leadership.

Pay Rate: $16.80 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, office spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs of entries, exits, incidents, and security-related observations.
• Report hazards, damaged access controls, unusual conditions, and potential policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
