Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Access Control in Battle Creek, MI. You will safeguard clients across industries, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service while monitoring access points and maintaining logs.

Schedule includes DayTime and evening shifts with a pay rate of $16.80 per hour. Minimum requirements include being 18+ for unarmed roles, a high school diploma, background check, and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, office spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs of entries, exits, incidents, and security-related observations.
• Report hazards, damaged access controls, unusual conditions, and potential policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
