Qualifications

• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at access-control points, following site policies and, when needed, emergency procedures.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, maintain logs for visitors and drivers, and direct authorized individuals.
• Respond calmly to incidents and escalate according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations and access-control activity, and communicate to leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Access Checkpoint in Wyoming, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points for the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and driver logs, and directing authorized individuals to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document observations, incidents, and access-control activity accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
