Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Access Operations in South Bend, IN. You will safeguard clients across logistics and distribution, manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors and drivers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation will be conducted per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local law.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, employees and/or contractors by following site procedures and access-control policies.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials, maintain records for visitors and contractors.
• Respond to incidents and access-control concerns in a calm, solution-focused manner per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor inbound/outbound traffic and direct vehicles and visitors to appropriate locations.

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Operations in South Bend, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values with integrity and teamwork.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Thur 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Fri 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access points at a logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials and maintaining visitor and contractor entry records.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor inbound and outbound traffic, direct vehicles and visitors to appropriate locations, and communicate with site personnel regarding access-related activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
