Job summary

Marksman Security is actively hiring unarmed security officers for retail sites in Texas. This is a 2nd shift opening, with both full-time and part-time positions available, offering $16.32 per hour.

Ideal candidates have prior security experience or customer service work and hold a valid Texas security license. Applicants should be at least 21, possess a high school diploma, a Texas driver’s license with clean record, and be able to patrol on foot.

Qualifications

• Must have current Texas security license.
• Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 21+ years old and professional appearance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle and foot patrols of areas in the public right of way to identify potential safety and security risks.
• Engage with the public and respond to any and all calls for service in the public right of way.
• Maintain a visible presence and engage in professional public interactions.
• Document all interactions in a clear and concise written report, ensuring the accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents).
• Communicate and pass on all pertinent information to fellow team members, other safety teams, and the client.
• Monitor and/or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and or other criminal behavior.
• Warn violators of infractions e.g., loitering, smoking and or in possession of prohibited items.
• Respond to calls of distress, alarms and/or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders.
• Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner.
• Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed.
• Other duties to be determined by management.
