Job summary

Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a Security Officer to safeguard guests and staff at Thompson Dallas, a Hyatt property in Texas.

You will patrol the hotel, monitor keys, document incidents, and assist the Director of Security with investigations and daily duties. The ideal candidate has strong communication, can stand long shifts, and may hold CPR certification along with prior hotel security experience.

Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Previous hotel security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hotel property to ensure the safety of guests and employees and to protect all hotel assets.
• Monitor employee key distribution/storage including all master keys/hard keys and conduct an inventory during each shift.
• Document and secure all lost & found items received.
• Initiate and follow-up all investigations of crimes committed against property and persons.
• Assist with other duties as directed by Security Supervisor and/or Director of Security

The Security Officer is responsible for the oversight of the safety and security of the hotel guests and employees. This person will followsafety and security standards and complete incident reports as required.
