Responsibilities

• Safeguard classified and controlled information.
• Respond immediately to alarms.
• Control access to the facility to ensure only authorized persons and items enter or depart.
• Manage vehicle access and use the vehicle reservation system for staff.
• Identify employees and visitors, check badges, and issue temporary badges.
• Conduct random inspections.
• Perform security checks and report hazards or risks.
• Ensure compliance with emergency procedures.
• Assist in facility protection as part of ARL operations.
• Interact with employees, visitors, and guests to provide courteous, professional assistance.
• Complete log entries and official forms.
• Make telephonic and email notifications about ARL UT security status.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and operate computer systems, CCTV, fax, and PA system.
• Receive and document after-hours mail deliveries.
• Work off-site at Lake Travis Test Station as needed.
• Complete mandatory and recurring training to maintain proficiency.
• Perform other related functions as assigned.
