Job summary

The University of Texas Applied Research Laboratories seeks an ARL Guard Shift Supervisor to manage daily security operations on the Pickle Research Campus. You will supervise shift personnel, enforce access controls, respond to alarms, and maintain secure handling of sensitive information.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Guard Force Manager, conducting patrols, reporting incidents, and ensuring compliance with established security procedures.

Qualifications

• HS/GED.
• Three years of guard or related experience.
• Effective communication and grammar skills.
• Ability to communicate information verbally in a report format.
• Attention to detail and timely work.
• Must be flexible to varied shift assignments.
• Walk up and down stairs to conduct checks.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard classified and controlled information.
• Supervise assigned shift personnel and coordinate tasks.
• Complete shift changeover and relay information.
• Manage keys, badges, and related equipment per SOP.
• Perform access control and verify authorized personnel.
• Respond to alarms and security incidents promptly.
• Conduct security checks and patrols; report hazards.
• Coordinate with LTTS guards and other supervisors.
• Maintain records and documentation accurately.
