Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer 1st Shift Guard in Mason, OH. You will serve clients, coordinate communications, monitor activity, and assist with access control while delivering exceptional customer service.

The role is full-time with a daytime schedule and a pay rate of $17.00 per hour. Prior security experience and a HS diploma are preferred, along with CPR/First Aid and comfort with computers or tablets.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and associates by following security procedures and incident responses.
• Monitor calls, alarms, and communications; document activity and coordinate dispatch.
• Respond to incidents calmly and relay details to site personnel and emergency services.
• Maintain dispatch logs, incident reports, and shift records per procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols and report security concerns around the premises.

As a Dispatch Officer in a dynamic retail and mall location, you will coordinate communications, monitor activity, and support timely responses to security-related incidents. You will help maintain accurate records, assist with access control needs, and provide exceptional customer service to visitors and team members. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to retail and mall location clients, visitors, and associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor incoming calls, alarms, and communications from retail locations; document activity and coordinate the dispatch of appropriate personnel and resources.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating relevant details to site personnel, management, and emergency services as directed.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and shift records in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as assigned, while observing for and reporting security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
