Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Columbus, IN. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, deter incidents, respond to concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service.

This is a full-time role with a daytime/evening schedule and $15.75 per hour pay. A high school diploma and customer service experience are preferred; background checks and drug screening are required by law, with

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, and facility perimeter.
• Monitor access by verifying credentials, documenting visitors, and directing personnel.
• Complete activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs; escalate hazards as needed.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Columbus, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing personnel in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications, escalating maintenance concerns, hazards, and security-related issues to appropriate site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
