Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village is seeking a Security Officer to ensure the safety of guests, employees, and property with a calm and professional presence. The role requires responding swiftly to emergencies, enforcing policies, and promoting a secure hotel environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of security experience in hotels, a high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred), and strong problem-solving and communication skills. CPR/AED/First Aid certs are a plus, with valid U.S.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certificates preferred.
• At least 1+ year of security experience, preferably in hotels.
• Legal work authorization in the United States.
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to stay calm in challenging situations.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).

Responsibilities

• Assist hotel team to protect guests, associates, and property.
• Enforce hotel rules and safety policies.
• Promote safety awareness and provide training as needed.
• Respond to emergency calls and assist in Fire Command center when required.
• Patrol premises and identify safety/security hazards.
• Prepare and file incident reports and assist investigations.

About the role:

Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village is seeking a Security Officer who embodies both friendliness and professionalism in every interaction. This individual will have a keen attention to detail, ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests, employees and the property at all times. We are looking for someone who can respond swiftly and effectively in emergency situations, maintaining a calm and supportive presence.

What you will do:

• Assist hotel team with responsibility to ensure the protection of guests, patrons and associates; their property, hotel property, building and grounds. Enforce hotel rules, regulations and policies as well as the departments rules, policies and standards.


• Promote safety awareness and enforcement throughout the hotel to reduce accidents and loss by providing training as required.


• Respond to all emergency calls including Emergency Response team calls. Will assist in the Fire Command center when needed.


• Patrol building noting and correcting safety, security, and fire hazards. Able walk/run up stairs carrying a fire extinguisher.


• Implement all policies and procedures regarding security and safety.


• Write comprehensive incident reports and conduct thorough investigations. Maintain report records, assist and follow-up on investigations, and approve reports and logs. Initiates and assists General liability reports. Promotes loss prevention through training and awareness throughout the building to reduce claims.

What you bring:

• At least High School diploma – Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.


• CPR/AED/First Aid Certificates preferred


• At least 1+ years of security experience, preferably within Hotels


• Law enforcement or military experience is a plus


• Strong problem solving skills.


• Ability to remain calm during challenging situations.


• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Must be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening/overnight shifts.


• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States
