Job summary

Upson Regional Medical Center is seeking a Security Officer responsible for maintaining and providing security for patients, visitors, personnel and property in accordance with the hospital security management plan. You will project professionalism to inspire confidence among patients, visitors, and staff across the facility.

You will assist with 1013 and Combative patients per the restraint policy in the ED and throughout URMC, and you will escort patients within URMC, including the Wound

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Regular driver's license is required.
• Crisis Intervention Training is required within 6 months after hire.
• BLS certification is required within 1 month after hire.
• Post certified and/or self-defense training is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and provide security for patients, visitors, personnel and property as outlined in the hospital security management plan.
• Present a professional and courteous demeanor to inspire confidence from patients, visitors, and employees.
• Assist all personnel with 1013 and Combative patients in accordance with the restraint policy in the ED and throughout the facility.
• Assist with escorts of patients throughout URMC, including the Wound Healing Center.
• This position reports to the Environmental Services Director.

Inspire convidence from patients, visitors, and employees by performing and communicating in a professional and courteous manner. Security Officers will assist all personnel with 1013 and Combative patients adhering to the restraint policy in the ED and throughout the facility. Security assists with escorts of patients throughout URMC including Wound Healing Center. This position reports to the Environmental Services Director.

Required:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• regular Driver's Lincense
• Crisis Intervention Training required within 6 month period following date of hire
• BLS within 1 month period following date of hire.
• Post certified and/or self-defense training.
