Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Security Officer for Northside Behavioral Health Hospital in Tampa, FL. The role involves patrol, safety monitoring, assisting patients and visitors, and reporting through documentation tools.

Responsibilities include weapons screening and life-safety duties, with a focus on protecting staff, patients, and guests. Qualifications include a Florida driver’s license, IAHSS within 1 year, Security D within 90 days, and FDLE preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
• 1 year of Customer Service experience required; 2 years in Security preferred.
• 1 year of Healthcare or Hospital experience preferred.
• Florida Driver's License required; IAHSS certification within 1 year; Security D within 90 days; FDLE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and respond to incidents with appropriate intervention.

Position: Security Officer

Facility: Northside Behavioral Health Hospital

The Security Officer performs general safety & security duties including:

• Patrol and detection services
• Assisting customers
• Response and intervention responsibilities
• Provide monitoring services to assure team member, patient and visitor safety
• Completes communication and documentation tools
• Conducts weapons screening in appropriate manner
• Completes other duties as assigned
• Required specific skills also includes life safety and weapons screening techniques.

Minimum Qualifications

Certifications and Licensures

• Driver's License (State of Florida)
• IAHSS (Security) - Within 1 year
• Security D - Within 90 days
• Preferred : FDLE (Law Enforcement)
