Wegmans in Rockville, MD is seeking an Asset Protection Officer to maintain a visible security presence, patrol areas, and address safety concerns. You will deter incidents, escort staff and customers as needed, and intervene in conflicts to protect people and property.

Required to have a police officer background with arrest authority, a firearm license, and a valid driver's license. EMT/Certified certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years full-time experience as a sworn police officer with arrest authority
• Valid license to carry a firearm
• Valid driver’s license
• Conflict management and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure

What You'll Do

Requirements

• 1+ years full-time experience as a sworn police officer with arrest authority in a military, municipal, county, state, or federal police agency
• Valid license to carry a firearm
• Valid driver’s license
• Conflict management and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Sound judgement skills and ability to manage conflict and communicate effectively under pressure
• Effective communication skills and ability to maintain composure in stressful environments
• Ability to anticipate, analyze and identify opportunities

Preferred Experience

• Associate’s degree in criminal justice or related field
• Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
• AED, APR and FAC certified
