Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking a Security Officer to protect guests and property in a hotel environment. The role involves patrolling, responding to disturbances, reporting incidents, and maintaining logs to support safety and guest satisfaction.

The position offers full-time hours with opportunities for career growth into supervisory and director roles within HHM’s security organization.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or experience in a hotel or related field.
• CPR/First Aid preferred.
• Prior security experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Patrol designated hotel areas.
• Respond to disturbances and emergencies.
• Maintain a daily activity log.
• Prepare incident reports and communicate with hotel management.
• Access secured areas for authorized personnel.
• Escort guests to rooms or assist with entry according to hotel standards.
• Monitor TV cameras where applicable.
• Perform bell person tasks when needed and other duties on request.

Security Supervisor/Manager – Director of Security

Your Focus

• Patrol designated hotel areas.
• Respond to disturbances and emergency situations.
• Maintain a daily activity log.
• Maintain confidentiality with respect to guest and employee incidents.
• Prepare incident reports and other reports and communicate all related information to hotel management.
• Access secured areas for authorized personnel.
• Complete incident/accident reports in a clear and concise manner.
• Escort guests to their rooms or assist guest’s w/entry into their rooms according to hotel standards.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Monitor TV cameras, if applicable.
• Perform bell person tasks and assist guests with luggage.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Your Background and Skills

• HighSchool diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Prior security experience is desirable.
• CPR/First Aid preferred.

• Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends and alternate shifts.
