Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking an Overnight Security Officer to protect guests and property during the overnight shift. You will patrol designated areas, respond to disturbances, and prepare concise incident reports while maintaining guest confidentiality and safety.

The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and adherence to sustainability practices under the EarthView program. Work schedule includes weekends and holidays, with potential for growth to leadership positions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior security experience desirable.
• CPR/First Aid preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol designated hotel areas to maintain safety and security.
• Respond to disturbances and emergencies in a timely manner.
• Maintain a daily activity log and incident reports.
• Escort guests to rooms and assist with entry as needed.
• Monitor cameras and follow HHM EarthView sustainability guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Your Focus

• Patrol designated hotel areas.
• Respond to disturbances and emergency situations.
• Maintain a daily activity log.
• Maintain confidentiality with respect to guest and employee incidents.
• Prepare incident reports and other reports and communicate all related information to hotel management.
• Access secured areas for authorized personnel.
• Complete incident/accident reports in a clear and concise manner.
• Escort guests to their rooms or assist guest’s w/entry into their rooms according to hotel standards.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Monitor TV cameras, if applicable.
• Perform bell person tasks and assist guests with luggage.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Your Background and Skills

• HighSchool diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Prior security experience is desirable.
• CPR/First Aid preferred.
