Job summary

UNC Health in North Carolina is seeking a Per Diem Public Safety Officer to deter crime and maintain a secure hospital environment. You will provide 24-hour electronic and physical observation, while delivering patient- and staff-friendly security services on campus.

This role requires a high school diploma, 3 years security experience, and a valid NC driver's license. BLET is a plus; duties include following safety policies and performing administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years' experience in security, civilian/military law enforcement or an equivalent military career field.
• Valid North Carolina Driver License required.
• Basic Law Enforcement Training Certification (BLET) preferred, but not required.
• Officers are expected to possess a minimal proficiency in typing text, answering telephones and interviewing people. In addition, they must be able to file information and accomplish various administrative tasks.
