Job summary

PNY Technologies Inc. is seeking a Security Officer for an intermediate level role in Parsippany, NJ. The position focuses on maintaining staff and facility safety through interior and exterior patrols and timely incident reporting.

The candidate should have a high school diploma and 2-3 years in security or related fields, with CPR/First Aid desirable, English communication proficiency, and a willingness to be a first responder in emergencies. Evening and weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years’ experience in military, law enforcement or security field.
• Warehouse and Corporate environment preferred.
• CPR/First Aid or EMT certification highly desirable.
• Willingness to be a “first responder” for emergency situations.
• Good communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in emergency situations.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Good conflict resolutions skills.
• Work schedule flexibility and ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Ability to handle confidential matters and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior patrols.
• Provide basic (non-technical) backup facilities support (e.g. transport, space redesign, emergency repairs).
• Alert management immediately about any policy violations, accidents, or other unusual occurrences.
• Prepare written reports on policy violations, accidents, medical situations and other unusual occurrences or incidents.
• Provide security on various assigned shifts, as directed.
• Provide physical and personnel security as defined by the company.
• Inspect all fire safety devices such as exit signs, fire extinguishers, and other security alarm equipment on a monthly basis.
• Responsible for adherence to all department policies and standard operating procedures.
• Support Security Lead and Manager as needed.
