Securitas USA seeks a Security Officer to protect client sites and assets in Nevada, MO. You will monitor premises, enforce site rules, perform access control, and conduct patrols while delivering professional customer service to employees and guests.

This full-time role offers day or graveyard shifts, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to develop security skills in a fast-paced environment. You will rely on teamwork, vigilance, and integrity daily.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Identify and report safety issues and hazards.
• Perform access control and ensure post orders are followed.
• Patrol premises and conduct long-distance patrols.

• Operate security devices and Vision phone.
• Check on trucks and respond to emergencies as needed.

Security Officer - Full Time

Primary Location: Nevada, MO

Wage: $17.00/HR

Available Schedules:

• Day Shift: Fri - Tues: 6AM - 2PM
• Graveyard Shift: Fri - Tues: 10PM - 6AM

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client's employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct long distance foot patrols of the property, which include stairs (long distance patrols can be split up).
• Setting for long periods of time.
• Check in trucks.
• Answering phones and learning how to use the Vision phone.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
