Job summary

FAENA Movement is seeking a vigilant Security Officer to monitor and patrol assigned areas, ensuring the safety of guests and employees while reducing opportunities for loss or damage. You will anticipate disturbances, respond to emergencies, and enforce resort rules with discretion and professionalism.

Responsibilities include patrolling the property, securing guest and staff entrances, coordinating with outside agencies when needed, inspecting packages, and documenting all actions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
• Maintain complete awareness of scheduled group activities and house count, resort facilities and services, hours of operation, and facility layout.
• Review department log records and be familiar with pertinent information relevant to the daily shift.
• Review the resort status and follow up actions with the previous shift officer.
• Issue radios and keys to designated resort personnel, maintain records and ensure safekeeping.
• Escort non-resort personnel arriving at employee entrance.
• Inspect employee packages, purses, bags, etc. as employees enter or leave the property.
• Provide escorts for employees and ensure after-hours access is properly authorized and documented.
• Handle deliveries received during non-business hours and coordinate with outside agencies (police).
• Investigate duress alarms, patrol the property, document actions, resolve safety hazards, and secure guest and resident room doors.
• Investigate suspicious persons, conduct designated investigations, and complete reports.
• Respond to the scene of guest and resident/employee accidents, administer first aid/CPR, and relay information to EMS/medical personnel.
• Coordinate with security leadership and document all pertinent information in shift reports.
• Complete all paperwork and closing duties and review resort status with on-coming Security Officer.
• Maintain a varied schedule that may include early morning, evening, night, and weekend shifts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
• Maintain complete awareness of:
• Scheduled group activities and house count.
• Resort facilities and services.
• Hours of operation.
• Facility layout.
• Fire and emergency plans.
• Departmental rules of conduct.
• Review department log records and be familiar with pertinent information relevant to the daily shift.
• Review the resort status and follow up actions with the previous shift officer.
• Issue radios and keys to designated resort personnel. Maintain accurate records and ensure their safekeeping.
• Ensure all non-resort personnel arriving at employee entrance are properly escorted while on property.
• Inspect employee packages, purses, bags, etc. as employees enter or leave the property.
• Provide escorts for employees.
• Ensure that after-hours access into secured resort areas are properly authorized, monitored and documented.
• Handle deliveries received during non-business hours.
• Work with outside agencies (i.e., police).
• Contact the Complex Security Director immediately for emergency situations.
• Investigate duress alarms.
• Patrol the property with specified equipment, checking all designated points and document all actions taken.
• Resolve safety hazard situations.
• Ensure all guest and resident room doors are secured; assist guest and residents with room access.
• Investigate suspicious persons on resort property.
• Conduct designated investigations into theft or lost items, noise complaints, assault complaints, food poisoning complaints and other guest and resident complaints; complete documented reports.
• Respond to the scene of guest and resident/employee accident promptly; administer first aid/CPR; communicate specified information to E.M.S./medical personnel as required.
• Report to scenes of guest and resident or employee fighting.
• Comply with state regulations and resort guidelines for handling intoxicated guests and residents.
• Coordinate towing of vehicles.
• Report to scenes of vehicles accidents/thefts and document specified information.
• Assist in moving/removing guest and resident room possessions, inventory and security of such and "E" key rooms.
• Document, organize and store all lost and found items given to Security; document guest and residents inquiries for lost items and coordinate return of lost items to guest and residents.
• Comply with guest and resident requests for storing and safekeeping of their valuables.
• Make arrests in compliance with legal and resort requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality of all Security and resort reports/documents; release information only to authorized individuals.
• Answer the departmental telephone.
• Communicate by radio with designated resort personnel.
• Prepare work orders for maintenance repairs and submit to Engineering.
• Legibly complete designated reports.
• Document all pertinent information in the MS shift.
• Complete all paperwork and closing duties before leaving. Review resort status and any follow-up actions with on-coming Security Officer.
• Ability to work a varied schedule that may include early morning, evening, night, and weekend shifts.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

• Ability to grasp, lift, move, or push goods on cart/truck weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to move safely in uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
• Ability to see and respond dangerous to situations.
• Requires mobility. Sense of smell, taste, touch, and sound. Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity.
• Remain in stationary position for 8 or more hours throughout work shift
• Ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
• Some of the work will occur in different locations of the district.
