Job summary

Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort in Hilton Head Island, SC is seeking a Loss Prevention/Security Officer to help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for guests and associates. This role protects property, enforces hotel policies, and responds professionally to incidents.

You will document investigations, monitor activities, and support emergency procedures while upholding Omni's standards of service. A calm, professional demeanor and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Stand and walk up to 8 hours per shift.
• Available for AM & PM shifts.
• Effective communication via telephone, email, radio and reporting.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Flexibility for day, evening, overnight shifts, weekends and holidays.
• First Aid/CPR certification is preferred.
• Remain calm and professional in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hotel property to ensure guest and employee safety and protect assets.
• Answer house calls to assist with safety, security and hotel operations.
• Initiate and follow up investigations of crimes against property and persons.
• Assist sick/injured guests or associates ensuring documentation and statements are completed.
• Record, report, and correct unsafe conditions while patrolling.
• Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive issues.
• Monitor alarm systems and door security; assist in emergencies.

Overview

Omni Hilton Head is seeking a Loss Prevention/Security Officer who plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for our guests and associates. This key position supports the overall security of the resort by upholding hotel policies, responding professionally to situations as they arise, and ensuring accurate, timely documentation of incidents and accidents. Responsibilities

• Patrol hotel property to ensure the safety of guests and employees and to protect all hotel assets.
• Answer house calls to assist both guests and associates with respect to safety, security and hotel operations.
• Initiate and follow up with all investigations of crimes committed against property and persons.
• Assist sick/injured guests or associates ensuring all documentation, reporting and witness statements have been completed within a timely manner.
• Initiate investigations, write incident and accident reports, monitor investigations to their timely conclusion, and ensure appropriate follow-up with guests, visitors and employees, documenting all contacts.
• Maintain accurate records while performing basic duties including, but not limited to, camera monitoring, shift activity log, codebook, and employee/guest interactions.
• Monitor/distribute visitor and vender access to the property by distributing visitor badges.
• Perform frequent bag checks for associates leaving the property.
• Escort and interact with special guests that need privacy when entering/exiting the hotel through the heart of the house areas.
• Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive guests or associate issues.
• Assist supervisor or director in checking alarm systems, safety and fire alarm systems and closely monitoring security of building doors, service areas, delivery areas and grounds.
• Assist hotel management in emergency situations by knowing all hotel safety procedures and leading/directing guests and associates to safety.
• Record, report, and correct any unsafe conditions while patrolling hotel property.
• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, overnight shifts, weekends and holidays.
