Job summary

Grand Portage Lodge, Casino and Trading Post is seeking a Security Officer to protect property, guests, and staff at the Grand Portage Casino complex. The role includes mandatory background checks for gaming licensure and potential drug testing, with relevant certifications considered assets.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and strong customer service skills to ensure safety and service excellence in a casino environment.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background investigation to obtain a gaming license.
• Grand Portage requires a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing for all positions.
• First Responder Certificate and/or related First Aid and Life Saving Certificates is an asset.
• Valid driver's license and be insurable; Grand Portage Reservation auto insurance is an asset.

Must be able to walk and stand for a full eight hour shift. Valid driver's license and be insurable with Grand Portage Reservation auto insurance is an asset.
