Securitas USA is seeking a Security Officer for a part-time position at our Dixon, IL industrial site. The role involves monitoring premises, enforcing site regulations, performing access control, and patrolling to maintain a safe environment for clients and guests.

The position offers weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) with additional hours possible during the week. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and strong customer service skills, with a focus on vigilance and

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client's employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct long foot patrols of the property in various weather conditions.
• Camera monitoring.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Security Officer - Part Time

Primary Location: Dixon, IL (Industrial Site)

Wage: $16.26/HR

Schedule: Sat / Sun: 3rd Shift & Mon: 2nd Shift (plus opportunities for additional hours during the week)

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
