Job summary

PENN Entertainment in Detroit seeks a dedicated Security Officer to protect team members, guests and property. You will monitor premises, respond to incidents, perform security checks, and coordinate with dispatch and local authorities.

The role requires clear English communication, adherence to procedures, and the ability to write reports. You will work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a safe, welcoming experience for guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with team members and guests.
• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide security and protection for team members, guests, and property
• Handle monetary transactions between games and Main Cage
• Handle unruly guests and criminals in combative situations
• Write required reports regarding all incidents that occur
• Operate the Dispatch Center as required
• Communicate via two-way radio and telephone
• Direct foot and vehicular traffic during emergencies
• Perform CPR and Heimlich Maneuver when needed
• Assist paramedics as needed
• Operate mobile unit, patrol property, and assist guests with vehicle problems
• Respond to alarms and communicate with Detroit Police
• Provide security and protection for garage and our employee lot.
• Other job-related duties as assigned
