Job summary

PENN Entertainment in Detroit is seeking dedicated security professionals to protect team members, guests and property in a fast-paced entertainment environment. You will monitor access, respond to incidents, operate the dispatch center, and coordinate with local police as needed.

Starting salary is posted as $19.09 per hour with a comprehensive Total Rewards package including medical coverage, a 401(k) plan and performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• Understand and comply with all Company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with team members and guests.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide security and protection for team members, guests, and property
• Handle monetary transactions between games and Main Cage
• Handle unruly guests and criminals in combative situations
• Write required reports regarding all incidents that occur
• Operate the Dispatch Center as required
• Communicate via two-way radio and telephone
• Direct foot and vehicular traffic during emergencies
• Perform CPR and Heimlich Maneuver when needed
• Assist paramedics as needed
• Operate mobile unit, patrol property, and assist guests with vehicle problems
• Respond to alarms and communicate with Detroit Police
• Provide security and protection for garage and our employee lot.
• Other job-related duties as assigned
