Job summary

Northside Hospital seeks a Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role requires interfacing with people across hospital operations and adherence to security procedures.

Six months hospital security or related experience, MOAB and BLS certifications, and strong customer service and communication skills are required; schedule is 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM; weekend rotating.

Qualifications

• Six months hospital security or similar experience; one year of college may substitute.
• Knowledge and application of security, safety, or law enforcement techniques.
• Excellent public relations and customer service skills; good written and oral communication.
• MOAB Certification or plan to obtain within three months of employment.
• BLS-Healthcare Provider Certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

Conducts activities to provide a safe and secure environment for Hospital patients, visitors, and employees. Required to interface with visitors, staff, physicians, patients and family members.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:1. Six (6) months Hospital experience or Security/Safety, Fire, Police, Military Police, Ambulance/EMT, or similar occupation. One (1) year of college may be substituted. 2. Must demonstrate complete knowledge and application of Security, Safety, or Law Enforcement techniques and procedures. 3. Must possess excellent public relation/customer service skills, and good written and oral communication skills. 4. Must either possess Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) Certification or successfully complete the MOAB Certification course within three months of employment. 5. Must successfully complete BLS-Healthcare Provider Certification course, offered by the organization, upon hire.
