Job summary

First Coast Security is hiring Security Officers to protect commercial, residential, and government sites in Montgomery, AL. The role involves patrolling premises, monitoring cameras, inspecting access points, and controlling entry to prevent losses.

You will respond to alarms, assist people in need, and generate detailed incident reports. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and a Guard Card, with a strong emphasis on vigilance, integrity, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Secures premises by patrolling property and monitoring surveillance equipment.
• Inspects buildings, equipment, and access points; permits entry when appropriate.
• Prevents losses by reporting irregularities and enforcing policy.
• Crowd control for emergencies and large events.
• Completes incident reports by recording observations and interviewing witnesses.
• Responds to alarms and emergencies in a timely manner.
• Provides aid to people in need and maintains vigilance at all times.

Job Skills / Requirements

• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing/enforcing violators of policy and procedures, looking out for trespassers
• Crowd control for emergencies, such as medical/fire/disasters
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities, interviewing witnesses
• Inspect and patrol premises regularly
• Monitor property's entrance/exits
• Authorize entrance of people and vehicles
• Secure all exits, doors and windows
• Respond to alarms/emergencies/suspicious activities in a timely manner
• Provide aid to people in need
• Keep mental alertness and attention to detail high, no matter the circumstances

Education Requirements (All)

Guard Card
Must have 1.5 years security experience
